- Doug here...
-
- Looks like I've made a major blunder with Bad Mood.
-
- I assumed (by looking at the PC version of Doom, and judging by the height of the
- screen) that the main display was 320x200 with a 40-pixel high status bar. Fullscreen
- mode was simply this minus the status bar, or 320x240.
-
- It seem I was wrong!
-
- Doom is actually 320x168 with a 32-pixel status panel, and 320x200 fullscreen! This
- means we can actually save a bit of time drawing the screen. I will release a fixed
- version with the correct display size & aspect ratio tonight.
-
- I have also fixed the scaling & positioning of the sky, so it seems to make sense
- now. It wasn't scaled properly before. I still need to implement a sensible way
- of selecting which sky is used on which levels. In Doom, there is a different sky
- for each episode. In Doom2, I think there are 30-odd levels, and 3 skies. I think
- it might be one sky per 10 levels or something like that. No idea what Heretic
- is supposed to do in this case.
-
- Anyway, you are not realy meant to run 3 games from one engine, so it's not a big
- problem if they are not all right. :)
